New year, new possibilities

If there’s something you want to change or do, but you don’t believe you have the power, begin by planting the seed of the new behavior by thinking specifically about what you want. Then experience the new behavior in your mind before you practice it. Visualize: See yourself doing whatever it is you want to do, in as much detail as possible. Say aloud to yourself, ‘”I see myself doing … I am in the process of … I see myself becoming…” Claude Bristol, author of The Magic of Believing,first published in 1948, said, “Undoubtedly we become what we envisage.”
