Alone, the best intention does not create change. Intention must be accompanied by action. Our activities need to be in the direction of the growth we want. Certain conditions and circumstances will either work for us or against us. We want to eliminate or minimize what works against our new behavior, and reinforce what helps us. For instance, not having cookies, crackers, chips, and cheese in the house goes a long way toward helping us not eat them. Having fresh fruit and vegetables cleaned and prepped so they’re ready when we want to snack or make a salad helps us eat more fruits and vegetables.
