Getting to a new way of eating requires a new way of thinking. Since solutions always begin with thought, problems have to be solved first in our minds. We can begin by naming what we want to change. This may come in the form of being diagnosed with a serious medical problem and being told that the problem is at least partly a result of the way we have been eating. Or we might simply decide we want to improve or preserve our health, and come to the realization that the way to do that is to change the way we eat. Or we might want to contribute to preserving the environment and stop contributing to the abuse of animals through factory farming.
